Perpetual motion is not engineering in the ordinary sense. The concepts I present,
what I might call "Apparata Errata", are machines metaphorically even if not
practically.

To consider the perpetuity of energy is also to consider the perpetuity of the
universe, and in the context of failure, human mortality.

Although perpetual motion is known as a quixotic quest, in the same sense that
alchemy suggests a system of meaning, so too perpetual motion may implicate a
system with personal if not technical value.

Material relating to my concept of "volitional" mathematics and possible
connections between perpetual motion and realms of meaning may be found at my
other site,
IMPOSSIBLEMACHINE.COM .

I have been serious enough about perpetual motion to write something that seems
almost like an epitaph:

While they were floundering
he was pondering:
"No more wandering
through the dark tunnels of grim determination
No; its time to grow in a thousand folded folds
For which we need an infinite fuel"

For those of you who want me to cite my best evidence that it is possible to create
a working perpetual motion machine, I recommend the
BRIEF.

NOTE:
Perpetual motion has been regarded as technically impossible since the 1775 ban on
the patenting of perpetual motion by the French Academy of Science. Their policy
is a reflection of apparently irreducible physical laws which prevent certain things
from being achieved in certain ways.

But life is multi-dimensional, isn't it? Has every beginning begun?

ONWARD:

I remain optimistic that although the unitary components of a machine do not gain
or lose energy unlawfully, that an appropriate understanding of the potential
loopholes in the laws of thermodynamics might lead to a
system that is effectively
above unity. Note that these aren't loopholes in the mathematics of the law, but
loopholes in the application of the law to perpetual motion. My concepts remain
grounded in basic Newtonian physics--whether or not they work.

You can read more about potential loopholes in PERPETUAL MOTION THEORY

  "THE MEANING OF PERPETUAL MOTION"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The seekers after perpetual motion are trying to get something from nothing."
                                                        --Sir Isaac Newton

Since life is something from nothing, I see no alternative except to pursue the
perpetuation of motion. If we are all thieves, there is no gold. Not to sound
childish, but what is the point (i.e. substance) of an idea if it isn't true?

Physics is a means to an end, and nothing more.~1 An ambitious and all-
encompassing end, but an end nonetheless. Certainly the idea of perpetual
motion is humorous, but it need not be absurd. If the future is for machines,
machines are capable of more (energy) than humanity can conceive. I see no
future without free energy.

NOTES

1. I recently found a quote from Aristotle that confirms this view: “All that we do
is done with an eye to something else.” Aristotle was known as a naturalist. Maybe
it is only sophistical to translate this view in terms of physic's own causality.
