Someone may ask someone else:
"What is your first theory?"
And when there is an immediate answer, that means that they
have already considered the complex, the ersatz.
When the answer is a form of metaphysics, then they have
considered ersatz metaphysics.
Oftentimes the answers are NOT a complete metaphysics.
There are many other theories that go un-named. And when we
don't know what they are, then we are having a thought about
It is not something easy to know, but when we have knowledge of
Socratic ignorance (if such is possible) we can hypothicate other
worlds in a purely hypothetical manner, and this is how we are led
to ersatz metaphysics.
Ersatz metaphysics has at least the following properties:
1. Consideration of the absurd.
2. More than one hypothesis.
3. Doubt about which theory is correct.
4. Sheer imagination.
